I have a laptop with XP Home and Office XP. I have all the
updates and have McAfee. I removed the HD from the laptop
and placed it in a desktop and scanned it online with
housecall.trendmicro.com, it found malware.worm_nachi.A
and deleted it. In Word when you hit enter the cursor it
stays on the same line and doesn't advance to the next
line. In Excel I typed a number in cell C5 and hit ENTER
and the cursor moved down to B6. Is there something
lerking in the system or is something corrupt. Help

Thanks

After letting the online antivirus scanner repair the system, go to
TrendMicro's website and look up any additional steps that may need to be
performed manually to repair the system.

For Excel and Word: Check under the Help file for a "Detect and Repair"
option. If found, use it. Otherwise, use Add/Remove Programs. "Change"
should bring up a menu option to repair the existing installation. If it
doesn't, cancel out and run setup directly from the Office CD. You will get
a repair option from the setup program.

During the repair process, you may be asked to provide the CDs for those
programs so you may want to locate those before proceeding with the repair.
Also, check the Office Update site after the repair completes just in case
any updates need to be reinstalled.
