Thanks, Richard for the reply. I'm not understanding? Do you mean you're
only asked to enter a key when you connect to another network? Outside my
own? You're not asked locally? If not, does anyone know of a network I can
try to connect to? I need screenshots. Thanks.

If you are already connected to the wireless network then click on
disconnect. When you reconnect you will be asked for the key.

Thanks, Kerry for the reply. I'm trying to connect to my own 2 computer,
unsecured, private network. When I disconnect, then hit reconnect, it
automatically reconnects. If I change to a secured network using WEP (or
whatever) and 802.1x (or whatever), I'm told that I'm trying to use security
with an unsecured network. Can I not do this locally? Do I need to connect
to another network, such as trying to connect to work from home? I'll try to
set up a secure network to see what happens.

I'm misunderstanding what you are trying to do. If your network is unsecured
you can't get to the screen where you enter a key because no key is needed.
You would have to reconfigure your wireless access point to use 128 bit WEP
in order for Windows to prompt you for a 128 bit WEP key.

How do I enter a 128bit WEP for a Wireless Network? Using Vista
Ultimate x64. Thanks.

Kerry, I finally figured out how to make my connection secure via the
router. I was never prompted for a key though. I generated a key through my
router, selected the option, Shared Network (that was the only one that
would work), and entered the key on my main computer. On my second computer
I couldn't connect at all or go to the router via 192.168.0.1. I was never
prompted for a key at all. After entering the key on the 2nd computer,
though, everything was fine. Thanks for your input. I think I understand it
now.

You're welcome. Setting up wireless security can be confusing the first few
time you do it. Every router has a slightly different way of setting it up.
