Ensure Application Path is unchanged during execution in Access VBA

How can I ensure my application data base path is unchanged
I have an Access '97 application converted to Access 2000 that keeps looking for a linked table in the old C:\MyOldApp folder instead of using the new application path at C:\NewPath\MyAccess2Kpath
Any idea how I can fix or deal with this problem?
