hi i have a notebook Toshiba A20-S103
and i have a graphic card trident cyberALADDIN-P4 32 M
they told me that there is a way to enlarge the memory of my graphic card by
taking some memory from the RAMs.
if this is true , can anyone help me to do it ?
thanks

Who is the "they"? What instructions do you find on the Toshiba website?
This would probably be done with a utility from Toshiba and not through XP.

If it's possible, it's a function of your bios. Somewhere in there may be a
setting to increase the video ram, and it's usually in increments of some
set number. So maybe you can choose 8, 16, 32, 64. Or maybe its 32, 64,
128...

To figure out how to get into the bios, and whether that change is possible
check the manual that came with the computer, or check the Toshiba website.
It's going to be different on each brand/model of computer, so there's no
way to walk you through it step by step.

Keep in mind that whatever you allocate to the video is not available to the
system, so this may not improve the performance and may in fact make it
worse, depending on how much ram you have and what application you're
running.

How much you can "tweak" your BIOS (increasing the amount of memory the
system thinks the video driver has is an example of this) depends on your
BIOS. As others have said, consider whether it would be desirable to make
the change if you even can do so. Trident cards are not gaming cards and I
assume that's why you're trying to increase your video RAM. Shared memory
and games is, is my experience, not a good thing.
