Enhancing printing resolution

It looks like there's no way to fully use printer capabilities: trying to
print a report containing gray lines and boxes, to a 1200dpi laser printer,
produces a quite bad output, where the full gray is replaced with rough
patterns, as if the printer resolution is down to 300dpi.
BTW the printer is a Lexmark Optra S 1855 PS (Postscript).

Is there a way to let Access use full printer capabilities?

You could experiment with other colors. I often find that yellow produces
a nicer gray on B & W printers than actually using gray. Of course that
means the report doesn't look the same on-screen as in the print-out and it
assumes you are using a B & W printer.

Yes it is a BW Laser printer.

I've read in previuos posts that Access print capability is limited to 72DPI
when printing images. If this applies also to commo graphics, that's why
lines and borders looks ugly......

I've never noticed a problem printing any of those other than what you
originally said, that solid gray was usually a bit "dotty".
