Enhanced write filtering

I have ghosted an image onto a compact flash-based system and it's come
up with EWF enabled, which is a good thing. Normally. I'm trying to
switch filtering off to allow me to make/save a change before turning it
back on and I can't do it.

I can enter "ewfmgr c: -disable" and it tells me that there's a
"disable" boot command queued but when I restart EWF is still enabled
(with no boot command queued, obviously).

I don't have the option to make the change and "commit" because the
nVidia driver, in it's infinite wisdom, will not allow this. I defer
rebooting it cancels my setting change.

Thanks for any help.

Hi,

I think you use RAM or RAM Reg mode. So, have you tried ewfmgr c:
-commitanddisable -live? This method doesn't require reboot for
disabling EWF.

Worked a treat, thanks. It even re-enabled after the nVidia enforced
reboot.
