I am using Power Point 2002.
The Edit->Links option of PowerPoint allows the following:
1. Update now
2. Open Source (if only one item (link) is selected)
3. Change Source (if only one item (link) is selected)
4. Break Link
It also displays the source name (but only in a certain amount of characters)
I suggest the following:
A. To divide the links by source and allow the options 3 (change source) if
multiple items (links) are selected. The purspose is to change a single
source that is linked to many items.
B. To include the following column: the slide number where the link is
located
C. To include the following column: Last uptade date
D. To display the full source name
E. If the link is from Exel, then the option 3 (change source) should
display the existing tabs and allow the user to change the source tab.
D. Also, if the link is from Excel, then the option 3 (change source) should
allow the user to change a specific cell position. So the user doesn't have
to delete the link and create a new one from scratch.
E. Finally, when the link is from Excel, if the user click the link object,
then PowerPoint guides him to the exact place where the link is located. But
this only works when the item (link) is a cell. It doesn't work when the item
(link) is a graph. I suggest to change this, in order to show the user to the
linked graph.
Thanks a lot!!
