Endless restart

I was in the process of upgrading AVG (free edition) and after install,
asked if I wanted to restart the computer... Now computer is in an endless
reboot cycle... starts too load windows, then restarts all over again... No
desktop. Press F8 and cannot boot to any option available, just a continuous
restart. (Tried safe mode, last known good configuration, etc.)

Any suggestions?

Get your install disk out.(it will be good pratice)
Do a repair(you'll have to reinstall updates).
Copy any important documents you can find.
After fighting with it for a few hours-format.
Hey,how about making an image of your working system?(might save some
time)
Next go 'round, pay for a good AV(like NOD32)
Post back with results!
