endless cycle of configuring 3 of 3

As the tiltle says.....I'm now stuck in an endless cycle of Configuring
update 3 of 3
Vista Home Premium
SP1 - For a long time

Dont know what the update was?

Do a system restore to before the problem. Then install the updates one at
a time. F8 or Vista DVD

You are not alone but it doesn't seem to be too common.

I am having this same issue. how do I do a system restore?

Do it in Safe Mode.

Hi,

Hit F8 at the initial startup to access the boot menu, choose the command
line mode. From the prompt, run rstrui.exe
