ending processes & lowering cpu usage

my processor is running at or around 50% at all times and
there are 60+ processes running on my computer at all
times. it is making my internet connection as slow as
smoke. How do i know which prosesses i con end? HELP

Johnny,

Process Explorer (free) from <http://www.sysinternals.com/> will let
you look at each process in detail - who wrote it, what modules it
contains, what folder each module is in, and more.

BlackViper <http://www.blackviper.com/Articles/OS/OSguides.htm> has an
excellent description of system processes, to help you decide what you
can do without.

The speed of your internet connection has nothing to do with the number of
processes running on your computer.
