Can anyone suggest a tool that could be used to provide an end-user
interface to import Excel "databases" into a DataSet? I am developing an
application where my users will frequently need to import inventory lists
they get from clients. Unfortunately these lists will frequently deviate
from the standard format (actually getting a spreadsheet in any sort of
"standard" format would be more of an exception than a rule).
One option I have is to make the users reformat the spreadsheet to a
standardised format. Another option would be to provide an interface to
allow the users to set the mapping, but to provide a simple interface would
require a greater programming effort than the entire rest of the
application. I've found one application from www.4tops.com but it is for
Access and the interface is far too technical for most users.
Are there any other similar applications that I could use?
Thanks
