I had my last university exam today :D

Having had no breaks from full-time education since the age of 4, I'm really enjoying the feeling of having no work to finish, essays to write, books to read... it's a strange feeling to relax and not feel guilty!

I'm looking forward to getting out into the big wide world and fulfilling a purpose :)

Just wanted to share these thoughts

Anyone else in a similar situation?

Well done Bex!!

I know that feeling well (although it was some time ago since I finished my degree!!).

Take it easy with Ian and enjoy the opportunities that come your way!!

Kind regards

Between finishing the last exam and getting my first job was the best time of my life. I felt I was in heaven. I was not TOLD to do anything, getting up in the morning and not having to get out of bed I considered to be a luxury.

Enjoy it while you can and convert this period into memories that you will be able to cherish as you grow older.

Good luck with your new found freedom :)

Thanks for the replies :)

I've been enjoying doing as little as possible this weekend... bliss! Unfortunately I'm the kind of person who likes to be getting on with things, so I'm going to be more busy this week.

I must admit, from time to time I still tend to get that horrible feeling that I've still got some work to do... I guess that will take some time to go completely!

Now I can get on with writing some articles and organising the long anticipated PCR meet! :D

Hi Bex

You sound so much like me - all that waiting to finish something really big (in your case your degree) and then that sneaky feeling that there is something left to do, even dreams about it!! I know, it happens to me quite alot.

Quad is so right - enjoy this post degree pre moving on to whatever - it's the stuff that lovely memories are made of.

Love to you and Ian!

I am very impressed with your sucess. Sadly I just turned 21 and I only have 1 year of school complete. I have no idea what I want to do, where I want to go, or how I can afford it. This is what gives me nightmares. So relax, I'd say take like 6 months off. I know you'll feel guilty about it, I'd say wait until your itching for work to do. But for now, work on a Resume, make sure you have contacts of your favorite professors, and make sure you have a good portfolio of your work. If you havn't saved any, than now would be the time to contact those professors and get them.

So I guess I said relax then told you to do work.... sorry. Enjoy yourself, but if its work your looking for, I think a Resume is where you'd start. (Then again, You have one already:o )

-Good luck :thumb:

It's funny you should say that, because last night I actually dreamt I was in another exam - when I woke up I had to think about it before I realised I'd done it already!

Thank you for your words of wisdom, it means a lot to me :)

Be sure to let us know your results as soon as you/Ian know them!!!

I just know that you will do very well!!

Enjoy the summer (if we ever get any in the North of UK!!!)

Hey Bex, congrats.

Now, just wind down, chill for the summer.

Because believe me, when you strat work for real, it starts all over again, but possibly to a lesser degree, depending on your chosen profession.

Why don't you and Ian travel a little? oppurtunities may be hard to come by in the future.

For now, realise that mentality and enjoy, that of doing nothing, it may be some time before you get the choice again.

And I know exactly what you mean about feeling guilty not doing anything, I like that all the time ;)

And good luck for your results :)

Well Done Bex....

You will have to go to the pub now.. and get so drunk to celibrate.. infact so drunk that you forget everything that you have learned in youre exams.. :D

To be honest, I've forgotten much of it already - I couldn't sit the exams again now without revising over again! Alcohol has only played a very minor role ;) (I'm not really a big drinker)

Congratulations Bex.
It must feel so good for you, knowing that you got no more academic work to do now.
I wish you every success with your results, and with your future career(s). :)
