encryption

I have a notebook with vista basic (Italian). When I try to connect to my
router it keeps telling me I have the wrong passkey\passfrase (WPA-PSK). I
have tried to enter both but still nothing.
Also I cannot enter a website which needs a (encrypt) password.
Has somebody any idea how I can correct this

If you are accessing the router via the normal: http://ipaddress route and
the main menu appears, it would appear you are entering either the wrong
username and/or password? What make and model of router is it?
 
The router is a Sweex wirelessadsl11g.
I configurate the router from an other computer with windows vista ultimate 64
If I take the protection off the router the notebook will make contact with
the router and internet without any problem only that I cannot acces sites
with encrypted passwords.
