Hi,

I have 2 questions.

1) MS says that the 128bit encryption level on terminal
services is only used in North America and Canada. What
does this mean for a local area network ?

2) Does increasing the encryption level have any effects
on the network performance ?

Cheers

If the LAN is in the US or Canada, then you can run 128-bt
encryption.

Yes, although very little. Because the client and the
server both need to encrypt and decrypt each RDP packet,
there is a small amount of overhead, but as I said, it
isn't very much, especially when you consider that it may
prevent someone from stealing passwords.
