Encrypting File System

I have a customer who would like to impliment EFS on all the notebooks in
their office. Does anyone out there have any real world experience with
this? I was wondering what kind of impact on performance it has.

One other posting has some information that may be helpful to you regarding
EFS on notebooks. It's posted for 4/2/2007 with the title "EPS" (which I
think was meant to be "EFS"). There should be no performance issues when
using EFS. Once the initial certificate and key are generated (on first
encryption only), the key is cached for all subsequent operations. Others on
this newsgroup may have more to say about performance.

Most important is to have a data recovery plan in place before implementing
EFS. More about that is at this link:
