encrypted files

In explorer, one can set it so you see if a file / folder is encrypted by
the color. from script or command how would one find out?


I am in the midst of migrating data from an old PC to another new PC. I
would like to get a report on files and folders that is encrypted so I can
do proper transfer

You could use cipher and efsinfo. Cipher is built in and efsinfo is a
support tool. Be SURE to export your EFS certificate/private key to a
password protected .pfx file also and check to see if you have more than one
via the mmc snapin for certificates for user. --- Steve
