I have an issue with a sub-folder that I have copied from
a back up cd. The sub-folder was encrypted before being
written to cd and I have had to restore the contents of
the cd onto a differant computer. Not realising that the
main folder contained an encrypted sub-folder I now find
myself with a sub-folder I cannot open, cannot delete and
a drive I cannot format. Can nayone advise on the best
method to delete the encrypted sub-folder? Its contents I
do not require.

You can "Take Ownership" of the encrypted folder and all files within in it.
Then change the permissions on those files to give you read/write/delete
access then you will be able to remove the folder and the files.
See the Help and Support for Take Ownership
