Using Outlook 2003, is it possible to encrypt the notes field in a contact?
I know that I can set a password using Data File Management but is there a
way to leave the password blank and just encrypt the notes field?
Also, on the Data File Management - Change Password sheet, what is the
advantage of checking save this password in your password list? I am not
certain what other passwords are saved in the list or where the list resides
or how it is accessed.

Thank you,
Fred Jacobowitz

No, Outlook can't do that.

If you save the password in the password list, you won't need to enter it when Outlook starts. But if you copy the .pst file to another machine, you will need to enter the password.
