Encountering Problems launchin IE

When i attempt to launch IE i get a message saying that, "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close." The error report gives the ModName: winshow.dll, ModVer: 1.0.0.1 and Offset:00001dd3. Can someone please help me as i reinstalling does not work and i aint got much hair left!
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
