How do I enable the DNS server on my pc. I'm running XP. I
disabled it as a suggestion to fix the ACTION CANCELLED!
Error messeage. Furthermore, Do I relly need to have it
enabled? I created a local DNS Cache of 127.0.0.1 on my
local drive extra speed. Any help would greatly
appreciated.
Thank you so much.....

Zoikes!

There's no DNS server on XP.
There's the DNS client service, which maintains the DNS client cache.

To enable it, go to :

Start | Run | services.msc
Dbl-click DNS Clinet
Hit Start
Set Startup Type to Automatic.

OK your way out.
