enabling hyperlinks within Outlook

Within the last ten days, I've discovered that the hyperlinks which appear in received email messages within Outlook are inactive. I have not had this problem before. How can I enable these hyperlinks

Are these blue, underlined and does a hand show when hovering on them? Then
they are active but they are probably blocked by a pop-up blocker. Note that
there is also a pop-up blocker in the Google Toolbar
