Six months ago I successfully exported my MS Outlook 2000
address book to an Excel 2000 file (in address book file -
export, but that option along with export is now grayed
out. Other help literature mentions creating a new
contacts folder personal folder after adding a personal
folder and a Personal Address Book to my profile, but I
get the following error message when trying to do
this: "cannot display the folder. C:\WINDOWS\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\mbb.pst could
not be found." However, when I look into this path, I do
find a file called Outlook of PST type with a rather
large size with today's date and recent time. I do not
recogonize the name mbb.pst although MBB (Monterey Bay
Birds) is one of many email groups to which I do belong.

I have received one reply that I should add the latest MS
Sercuirty update. However, all of my MS Products are
current and up to date, and I have done the Security
Update. No change.

Someone else suggested I reinstall MS Outlook 2000 from
the original CD. That did not help.

Six months ago after succcessfully created an exported
Excel file from my address book, I had an issue between my
email and McAfee. So, I was told to disable the tools ->
options -> other -> general -> advanced options -> Add-in
Manager -> HAWK or Exchange Scan. Now, when trying to
reinstall HAWK, I have to search for the HawkEx.dll on the
original CD, but it is not there. So, I still have not
been able to re-establish the ability of address book ->
file -> export or import!

HELP! I have run out of options!

Not possible. The Outlook Address book is not and never has been the
interface for exporting. Indeed, it contains no data. It is merely a view of
your Contacts Folder.
Exporting is done from the Contacts Folder.
