We have a Test server here that runs Win2003 SP1
We have been using it with Remote Admin mode for some time and all is well.
We have a customer that wanted us to test an App on a Application Mode
Terminal Server. We installed Terminal Services on the Test server and now
the event log shows the Event:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: TermService
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1008
Date: 1/30/2006
Time: 10:26:56 AM
User: N/A
Computer: SERVER-WASABI
Description:
The terminal server licensing grace period has expired and the service has
not registered with a license server with installed licenses. A terminal
server license server is required for continuous operation. A terminal
server can operate without a license server for 120 days after initial start
up.
When a Client tries to connect it says there is a Security Warning.
We HAVE a 2003 License Server with Licenses on it as we have 2 other
Terminal Servers that use it.
I've set the Test Server (its part of the Domain) to point to the Terminal
Server License Server and not Auto Discover it. Reboot, still no go.
I've removed the Certs on the Terminal Server, Rebooted, no go.
Many of the Tech notes say to reactivate the Terminal Server License Server,
though I'm a bit worried about that since it is in use and working for our
Production machines.
Where can I go from here?
Thanks,
