Enable web content

The option "Enable web content on my desktop" is not available on my
"general tab" of the "folder options" window.
"Use Windows classic desktop" is selected and I can't switch to "Enable web
content on my desktop", that option is dimmed and I can't select it.
Help?
I want web content on my desktop

There could be a Group Policy preventing it, especially if it is a domain computer.
The setting is under user configuration/administrative templates/desktop. --- Steve

There is a registry key that could be causing this behaviour:
Look for the ClassicShell registry value in the registry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explore
r

Value: ClassicShell
Type: DWORD
Value: 0x1

Change value to 0 to enable Web Content
