I have a dual processor system with Windows 2000 SP1
installed. I've had the system for quite a while. Although
the 'Performance' tab in the Windows Task Manager shows two
windows for the the CPU Usage History, I realized that the
BIOS had not been set to enable hyperthreading. I have
since done this in the bios and rebooted. However I still
see only two windows in the 'Performance' tab in the
Windows Task Manager. I should see four windows as in
another machine I have. I'd like to find a way to do this
without reinstalling the OS (which from a configuration
standpoint, would take days considering all of the software
and hardware on the system.
How do I enable this in Windows 2000? Is it possible? Is it
just a Registry change?
I know this works in XP Pro. I need the the power/speed for
CGI rendering.
Thanks to whomever can help.
