I have a user that is unable to enable the Auto Correct feature. She is

You need to have matched versions of office to have some features, and some
of the autocorrect options should work (replace as you type) - others will
not. It appears a font is missing as some of the replace as you type symbols
( like

When you open the autocorrect options from tools, options, spelling tab when
only outlook is open the dialog are enabled but in my tests the features
won't work anyway.
