enable ACPI

to do some bugfixing i disabled ACPI by setting Computer to Standard-PC
now i want to re-enable ACPI, but somehow the only option left is
Standard-PC. How can i activate ACPI again?

btw, it is enabled in bios.

just to note: re-install is NOT an option

if u mean the one where clean reinstall was suggested... this is on my
server about 100 posts ago. i read that, but was not satisfied with the
answer of a clean-install. so i posted again, ust in case the thread had
already been forgotten.
