That familiar sound of crunching refuse that I always heard when I emptied
recycle bin is now gone. There is no sound at all when I choose to Empty.
How can this be restored?

Of all the newsgroups in all the world, how'd you end up in this one?

But still, assuming that you're using some flavor of XP:

Control Panel->Sounds and Audio Devices->Sounds->Windows Explorer->Empty
Recycle Bin->Windows XP Recycle.wav

Couldn't find even general XP category to ask question in ... sorry. I have
Windows XP Home 2002. From Sounds, I see Explorer but no Windows or Windows
Explorer. And within Explorer, there is no Empty Recycle Bin or anything
close to referring to Recycle Bin. Incidentally, how do you create the arrow
in your directions to a specific folder? I've often wanted to use this in my
own communcations; instead use /. Thanks.
