Hi~

I made a new XPE image after seting up SP2.
By the way, there is a strange folder icon on control panel.
It doesn't work with any clicking.
If I delete it, it's fine, no problem.

What's this? Anyone know?~

David,

Perhaps it is a namespace icon from Administration Tools?
Add "Administration Support Tools" component to your image.

KM,

Thanks for your answer, but 'Administration Support Tools' component is
already added, and Administration Tools icon also available.
Do you have any other clue?

David,

Perhaps, Fonts namespace has no icon in your Control Panel registration entries.

Try to add the following reg.keys:
[HKCR\CLSID\{D20E-A4E1-3957-11d2-A40B-0C50205241-53}\DefaultIcon]
@="%SystemRoot%\system32\main.c-pl,10" (this is for the Administration Tools icon and not required in your image)
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{BD84-B380-8CA2-1069-AB1D-08000948F5-34}\DefaultIcon]
@="%SystemRoot%\System32\fontex-t.dll,-101" (this is for Fonts icon)

If still does not help, copy the following reg.key with all subkyes from XP Pro machine to your image:
[HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ControlPanel\NameSpace]

Oh, that is SP2 and that was fixed there.

The Control Panel NameSpace registration. Did you try what I suggested - copying the reg.key from XP Pro?
Also, enumerate all the subkeys under that key and see if ALL the CPLs mentioned there are in your image. If any of them is not -
include it and see if the icon problem gets fixed.
