Empire Earth bug

I run into a really weird bug on Empire earth - sometimes the peasants
can't throw spears - they just kind of shake the spaers and tremble.
Sometimes the bug shows up as "shooting weapon have no hit points" - so I
can line up cannons and shoot at a target all day and there is no effect. I
am getting these bugs on every gams I start.

Anyone know how to fix this?

Not sure, I never encounted this or heard of anyone who had, so a few basic
things to try;

Uninstall the game, and then reinstall and install the latest patch
