You have posted this message to the wrong news group.
The access in this newsgroup's title refers to Microsoft Access, a
database product.
I would suggest you post to the appropriate OE newsgroup.

sorry... gezzzz... i did not realize that both groups were listed... have a
cow wont ya!

So post back here only with your questions , & don't upset the Access lot
again :-))

Well, we're (most of us) fairly tolerant - but this message thread is
crossposted:
Newsgroups:
microsoft.public.access.gettingstarted,microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.outlookexpress.wishlist

I can see why people who don't know of the existance of a program
named Microsoft Access(TM) might assume that
"microsoft.public.access.gettingstarted" might refer to "public
access" to Microsoft, but it doesn't!

John, Microsoft did it to us, let's hope some of the spatter gets them!
"Access" seems like a great product name, it implies that, we dummies who
struggled to get Excel and other spreadsheets to do our bidding datawise,
would now have tremendous access to our data. In fact, we did.
Unfortunately, the verb "to access" has universal meaning. Most people who
understand the meaning of the verb have never heard of the product.

By the end of a long night I tend to believe that people mis-posting are
being lazy, careless and indifferent to the noise they generate.

Your responses to all such mis-postings are invariably polite and tolerant.
I sometimes wonder if you have some of your responses behind an Autocorrect
macro.

Some of them, yes... Agent has File... Insert Text File... <pick a
file> and I've got quite a few files for the truly frequently used
answers. This is one of them (which I will often edit a bit as
needed).
