i have an old dos program that need to be run but it need
a huge amount of memeory so how can i configure the emm386
on windows 2000 server or XP

Right-click the DOS program and press Properties. Configure the Memory tab.

Hmm, when I rightclick a (running)DOS program I get the contents (if
any) of the clipboard inserted.
To be more detailed it depends how the program is started. If you look
in explorer at the app.exe or app.com the way from Jerold Schulman is
ok. If a batch is involved in the launching it gets more complicated
because there is no memory tab. You have to look for the relevant app.

If starting from the menu rightclick on the item and see what the Dest.
says. This is in fact a shortcut to the app. But only the app itself
has the tab. If a .pif file is involved this is like an older version
of a shortcut with own integrated memorysettings.
