Does anyone know if there is a way to e-mail the handouts from PP?(not
the presentation, or slides or notes, just the handouts?

I am giving a presentation and the company will print the hand-outs.
But the company does NOT have PP on their computers and they will
print the handouts if I can get them to them.

Any help is appreciated.

Use File/Send to Word and create your handouts that way. Use Paste Link in
the Send to Word options, and then in Word, CTRL+A to select all then
Edit/Links/Break Links.

After you do all that, you can send the Word document, or you can create a
PDF of the Word document and send that instead. The PDF is a better option,
as -- among other reasons -- the file size will be much smaller and better
for emailing than the Word doc will be.

Or simply print handouts from Powerpoint to PDF if PDF-making software's
available.

Thanks for all of this information, very helpful.

I figured out how to send it to MS word but there were 2 inherent
problems. The file size and the handouts come in color (not gray
scale or black and white) my PP presentation is in a dark background
w/light lettering (which I feel is the best way to see it in a bright
room)and it just does not copy well as is.

It's funny how something which seems to be a simple task can not have
an easy solution.

I guess I will just have to change the whole color scheme of the
presentation for the handouts to have good print quality. Then I will
just use my "usual" presentation for speaking...that is unless of
course anyone else has any good hints :o)

In that case, I'd just print as PDF straight from PPT as Steve suggested.
You should be able to get B/W that way without having to redo your color
scheme. (I know that's a PITA.)

Use File/Print, select Handouts in the "print what" section of that dialog,
and choose a PDF option in your printer. If you have the latest Acrobat,
there is probably a PDF Writer you can use.

Not to pick at nits, but ...

(watch him, people. he's going to pick at nits)

If you have the latest version of Acrobat you can be *certain* that it won't
include PDFWriter. Adobe started discouraging it in Acrobat 5 (it became a
custom install option, not part of the default install). PDFWriter's no longer
included at all in Acrobat 6.

But the WorksWithDistillerThing that changes its name in every version is now
known as the "Adobe PDF" printer driver.

(see? nits. what'd I tell you?)
