My 14 year old son made an awesome skateboard video for his school. It is 20 minutes long. He tried to save it and it say he was low on virtual memery. He jsut closed it then went to bed. The next morning he tried to open it in Movie MAker and got a nastgram saying.. "The file"C;\Documnets and settings\hisname\localsettings\tempinternetfiles\content.IE\p8gbTLGD\nameofvideo.MSWMM" could not be found. Please verify that the file has not been removed, renamed or deleted.

He needs this movie for a school assignment and now can't get it. ALl he did was try to save it......
HELP ASAP!!!!! Is it still there somewhere? How do I get it back?

Hi Andrea,

The .MSWMM file is the project file.... he can try to browse the salvage bin
and recover it from there. Or he can search his hard drive for it. Or maybe
MM2 when opened will offer to recover a project from an auto-recover copy.

If the project file is totally gone and he doesn't have a backup, then he'll
have to start over.....or use whatever version of the movie he's already
saved as a video file.

If it's really a source file that's missing and not the project itself, have
him open the project file, browse the storyboard for clips with red Xs, and
either relink them or replace the missing clips with new ones.... if it was
a temporary file downloaded from the internet, maybe a new download would
work OK if relinked.

I have the same experience, so sorry to tell you i did
not find it again. Ive tried searching all folders sub
folders,,, i hope somebody can help you..
