Embedding Word Tables in PPT slides

I am trying to embed a word table in a powerpoint slide. It works fine until I click a blank area of the slide, at which time the table is hidden. Is there a property I can adjust to make the table display properly? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the info, but I'm not sure thats what I was looking for. I'm actually creating the Word table from Powerpoint on the slide itself using the insert object command. When I click outside of it, the table doesn't display on the slide anymore. Is there a property I need to adjust to keep my table from hiding? Thanks
