Hey all,

I have been asked to investigate an issue we are having with our migration
from PPT2003 to PPT2007.

We have a lot of PPT docs in PPT2003 with embedded (not certain whether
MS Graph or XL) sheets. It appears that when we open these in PPT2007
the embedded sheets become images and can no longer be opened and edited.

I'm sure this has probably been asked before so can someone point me to
information on how to solve this issue?

Thanks in advance,

Lance

Hi,Lance.
1.How did you embeded the sheet? Insert tab>>Object>>Create from
File>>Display as Icon check box?
2.Try to re-embed the sheet to PowerPoint
3.Make sure the source program is installed on your computer in a version
that can edit the object. If the source program isn't installed, convert it
to a Microsoft Office drawing object (drawing object: Any graphic you draw or
insert, which can be changed and enhanced. Drawing objects include
AutoShapes, curves, lines, and WordArt.) and edit.
4. If it's a linked object, make sure the source file you want to edit has
the same name and location as when you created the link. To see the name and
location of the source file, select the linked object, and then click Links
on the Edit menu. If the source file has been renamed or moved, click Change
Source in the Links dialog box to reconnect the links.

See if the above tips helps.(Part of the tips are quoted from
