Embedded Word tables - font size matching problem

History____________
I have to embed a large number of Word tables in my
PowerPoint pres. (PPT's table editor isn't robust
enough) Currently the way I have been doing this is:
Insert Object | (create new) Microsoft Word doc | and
then inserting a table into that. The only time I resize
the entire table is when I'm inside the actual table
(otherwise it treats it as a picture and skews it out of
proportion)

Problem___________
The tables display varying font sizes. A 15 pt in one
table is visually smaller than a 14 pt in another table.
And if I copy and paste a table to reuse the set-up
(cause some of them are complex) I have a 50/50 shot at
having the font sizes match between the original and the
copy. Even though all I do is change some of the data!!
And I've even tried not changing the overall size,
(leaving it the default/original inserted size) but still
makes no difference.

Someone, anyone, please help. Yours truly,
Getting frustrated beyond belief! (par for the course
when it comes to computers)

If you right-click the Word object, go to Format/Object, and set the
size to 100% on the size tab, does the font behave appropriately then?

That might do it! (first go-round looks like it'll work)
Any ideas on the why? -- why would it change each new
table to be different than 100% anyway? Or a simple
copy/paste ends up being different. How odd.

Thanks a zillion!! Sincerely,
Breathing a huge sigh of relief!

Not sure why it pastes at a different size in the first place. Probably
something to do with squeezing Word content onto a PPT slide or
something. Or maybe you have Tools/Autocorrect "use autolayouts"
enabled? You might see if unchecking that thing helps...
