I have been trying for days to figure out how to get my powerpoint to
properly embed my video files. I can only suceed in creating a powerpoint
presentation, but I need it in a slideshow format. When I try to save it in
a slideshow format, it doesn't embedd. The dile is currently 9mb's. If
someone will take a look at it or help me out with it

Presentation (PPT/PPTX) and Slideshow (PPS/PPSX) files are identical; the only
real difference is the file extension. But you can't embed video in either.
Video is always linked, not embedded.

That means that you'll always need to include the video file along with the
PowerPoint file when you distribute it.

It makes things a lot simpler if you do this:

Put the video file in the same folder as the PowerPoint file
THEN insert the video into the PPT
If you've already inserted videos from some other folder, delete them from your
presentation and re-insert them.

That will give you a link that always (almost always, anyhow) points to a video
file in the same folder as the PPT file, no matter where the PPT file is.

• First of all, the embedded video must be in the correct format.
Make sure it is either in Windows media file (.wmv) or in .avi format.
Save the video on your desktop so that it's easy to embed.
• Step 2
Open your PowerPoint presentation. Embed your video by using the
"Insert," "Movies and Sounds," and "Movie from File" commands.
Navigate to the video file you saved on your desktop and click "OK."
• Step 3
When your presentation is finished, save it as a packaged presentation
by using the "File," "Save As," PowerPoint Show. This will make it
transportable from one computer to the next. Otherwise, the video will
only save as a link. If you click on the link to the video on another
computer--even if it looks like a square box where the video should
be--it will not have point to anywhere as the video was not originally
saved on that computer.
• Step 4
After having saved, re-open your prepackaged file on another computer
to make sure the save worked and the video was transferred.
