embedded links in e-mails

Can anyone suggest how I get embedded links in e-mails to open in a new
browser window rather than one already open?

I use Outlook 2002 and get frustrated that when I click on a link in the
e-mail, it defaults to an open browser window which I use to control my
incoming calls. This means I have to log into my application again. Currently
I have to remember to open a new window before clicking the link in the
e-mail.
