I have a small database (5 MB) tracking people who have
registered for a conference. I have to print up badges with
images in specific places to which events they are
registered for. My problem is that when I embed and image
and go to view it in a report, I get an icon-sized image
with the image name underneath. When I went to the
knowledgebase with this problem, the instructions were to
install MS Photo Editor from my Office CD. I do NOT have
this option on my CD. I went to 3 other computers with
different installations of Office 2003 (Professional, Home
and Professional w/BCM) and could not find it on any of the
computers or installation cds. Does anyone know a
workaround for this? I am not a programmer or I would just
reference paths. I've looked at code for doing this and
just get cross-eyed.

Thanks!
Melanie

What size is the image you're working with? If the image file ends in .ico
then you really do have an icon, which would appear very tiny on a report.
One clue would be the file extension of the image. If it ends in .ico then
it's an icon and it won't resize very well... if it ends in .jpg, gif, bmp,
wmf, then you might be able to resize it with your graphics editor.

I'm not sure what the problem is but if you don't have Microsoft Photo
Editor you can use any decent graphics editor application to do what you
would have done with Photo Editor. I use Paint Shop Pro which you can
download in a trial version from www.download.com or www.jasc.com.

You misinderstood. MS Photo Editor does not reside on any of the Office
2003 disks. You must install it from your Ofice 2002 or Office 200
disks.

Bill:
Thanks for the help!
The images are very small about 30 KB and they are all
bmp's. I currently use Photoshop, the only reason I was
looking to get Photo Editor was because the KB article on
this problem mentions that the problem is a Access cannot
find the OLE server and the fix is to install Photo
Editor ... here's the article...

Thanks again!
