You cannot embed a WMA file. Only WAV files can be embedded.
Follow these steps and then copy the WMA file and the presentation to a CD
and the sound will work:
1. Put the WMA file in the same folder on your hard drive as the
presentation.
2. Open the presentation in PowerPoint and insert the WMA file, using
Insert > Movies and Sounds > Sound from file.
3. Save the presentation.
4. Burn both files to a CD and test on another system.
The above steps will ensure that the link to the WMA is "relative" to the
location of the presentation and thus will work from the CD, no matter what
the CD drive letter is.

Hi i'm trying to save on a CD a wma file along with the ppt. it is not
letting me embed the file. I changed the value in the toolbox to the highest
value, and still would not let me save the wma file, however when i play it
on my computer it work just fine. Do i need to change the format to mp3? or
what is the best way to embed the wma file to copy the whole thing on a CD,
so i can play it on other computers. Thanking you in advance
