I know there was another discussion somewhere re this problem, but I can't
locate it. I'm having the problem some others were having and wondering if
there is any solution?

When I go to "create mail" it takes several seconds after the email comes up
before you can start writing...sometimes up to 16 seconds. It also takes
several seconds after I hit "reply" to an email.

Any suggestions???

A few others have reported this slowness.
Some say you can eliminate that slowness for the current session
by opening the Calendar from within Windows Mail and then closing
the Calendar again.
What may also help if you have many contacts is to turn off the
auto-complete feature: Tools > Options > Send > uncheck
"Automatically complete..."

I did the calendar thing yesterday, that didn't work. I turned off the
auto-compete feature...that seems to have fixed it! But, that is an
inconvenience, not having the "auto-complete" function.... Is this a problem
that you think will ever be fixed??

Thanks for your help!

Whether it will ever be fixed, who knows?
Microsoft doesn't seem interested in fixing WinMail problems.

THANX IT SOLVED MY PROBLEM AS WELL!

Opening and closing Calendar worked for me.
This will become a fairly tiresome exercise I would think.
Is there a new version of Windows Mail in the pipeline?
