Emails not always being received in windows mail

Hi - I had a problem some time ago - my service provider had a problem with
their email and consequently I took advise and opened a hotmail account on
windows live. I have one address on there now - I placed my origianl email
address on there at first so I would get messages through. Now I get the odd
message on windows mail and most of my messages are going to hotmail despite
them not having a hotmail address. They seem to being filtered from
somewhere - any ideas?? please!
 
It isn't clear to me what you mean by "I placed my original email address
on there ..." Please clarify.

Based on your somewhat vague description, I can think of two possibilities:

1. You configured your non-Hotmail account to forward to your Hotmail
account. If so, that needs to be undone at your provider's webmail portal.

2. You're using a Hotmail feature called POP aggregation. That means
Hotmail is pulling in all the mail from your non-Hotmail provider. That
feature can be undone by going to http://mail.live.com, click Options,
More Options, Manage your account: Send and receive mail from other
e-mail accounts.
 
Sorry - I linked my breathe.com address to my hotmail one.
BUT you were right the mail was being diverted - As you said - in send and
receive other accounts- so have taken this out now - and fingers crossed back
to where I was 2 months ago. Thank you
