I too have that problem since upgrading users from OUTLOOK 2000 SR1 which
sorted the emails exactly as per the rules to OUTLOOK XP 2002 and a few to
OUTLOOK 2003. Users are annoyed I upgraded to Office XP/2003 and some want
it taken back to 200/SR1.
You do mean in the wrong mailbox/account - not "wrong profile" ?
I asked the same question in one of these groups a year ago
and was bluntly told I should not be using exchange in the internet mail
mode - "always use exchange mode".
I had not mentioned I was using ordinary old internet mail (POP) mode - but
the respondent guessed correctly.
I concluded it was a well known bug in Exchange/Outlook > 2001 versions.
I find there is an even worse problem:
If computer A has both accounts to one domain [one account set to leave mail
on server 10 days] not only are the emails not sorted by the rules on
computer A, but invariably computer B which only has one of the accounts [
the one set to leave mail on server 10 days ] no longer gets those emails
unless it is used first. Given computer A is 50 miles away from B this is a
pest.
Perhaps the solution is to actually create independent profiles and log into
OUTLOOK choosing the profile to match.
Only the several accounts on the one domain suffer this problem - touch
wood.
