Ok my problem is that i have created a powerpoint presentation with a fairly
large music file (5mb mp3) running through the whole presentation. I did
this by inserting a music file and have set it to run automatically.

It works perfectly for me but when I email it the music does not work. I
have checked and the recipients computer is running the same version as i am
and has media player etc if this makes any difference.

If I email to myself I have no problems! Is this because the mp3 file is not
actually saved to the presentation just linked to it and hence will only
work on my computer or is there a problem??

Please help as this is really important for me to sort out....

Thanks
Jackie

You answered your question - "It is linked". All wav files less that 100 KB
(that is the normal PowerPoint setting) are imbedded. Everything else is
linked. With a 5MB mp3 file in your presentation, you are going to have to
send that as well for the sound to work. Of course, that exceeds some ISP
e-mail box size limits, so be careful. Another option is to make a CD and
send it (obviously slower than e-mail).

To find out more on sounds, etc., visit the "Display, Screen Show, and
Multimedia Problems" section of the PowerPoint FAQ:

You've described the problem exactly. MP3s are always linked.

This should help, Jackie:

Links break when I move presentation (and at other times)
