Help--I always email photos in the my pictures, file & folder tasks, email this file. Tonight, I tried to do this & got an error message "the operation could not be completed. RICHED32.DLL failed to load. Please re-install. I reinstalled this folder & now I do not get the error message. However, the email box does not come up. When I select my photo, the computer asks if I want to resize, I say yes & then nothing happens. What happened all of the sudden & how do I fix it?

=====================================
Are you running Windows XP?

Did you install Windows XP...*Over* a
previous operating system?

The following KB article addresses your
exact error but the article is focused on
Windows 95/98.

Starting E-Mail Program or WordPad

I guess you are using Outlook Express?

It's a long shot, but the following method
may have some success:

How do I make OE my default mail client?

Go to...Start / Run...and type the following:
"C:\PROGRAM FILES\OUTLOOK EXPRESS\MSIMN.EXE" /reg<
(copy paste everything between the > < but not including the > <)
(But first...Check the path to msimn.exe to make sure it is correct)

Click...OK...

Then open Internet Explorer and go to...Tools / Internet Options /
Programs tab...and set OE as the default mail (and news) program.

Good luck.
