When I try to make the photos smaller I get the Microsoft Outlook error
notice: The operation failed due to network or other communication problem.
Check your connection and try again. I get the same result when using Picasa.
I can still send the photos but at the original size. Any ideas why they
won't reduce?

Try this, maybe it will restore the option:

go to...Start / Run and type
(or copy/paste):

"REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL"
(without the quotes)(Yes, there's
a space between 2 and S)

Click...OK.

A dialog box should report the following:

"DllRegisterServer in SHIMGVW.DLL succeeded"

Its me back again John, Your answer worked once on both Outlook express and Picasa and now has reverted to showing the error notice again. Any other ideas?

You'll have to discover what is causing
the .dll to become unregistered.
