When I email a MM video to someone it always comes up as a small window that
is hard to see. Is it on my side (a change in how I save the movie) or is it
on their end.
It has happened to everyone I send them to so I'm hoping it is an easy fix
on my end. Thanks for all you help.

When you Save and Send your movie as
an e-mail attachment...Movie Maker creates
a very small low resolution file. The reason
for this is to keep file size at a minimum so
(hopefully) it won't be rejected by your mail
provider for exceeding their file size limits.

Your recipients could adjust Windows Media
Player by going to...View / Full Screen...but
the display would probably be very grainy.

IMHO...a better alternative is to Save your
Movie file to your hard drive using the Best
Quality settings and then...upload the movie
to a site like the following...

"YouSendIt"
http://www.yousendit.com/

All you have to do is enter an e-mail
address in the "To:" (Recipient) field
and click the "Browse" button to select
the file you wish to upload. Then click
the "Send It" button.

The next screen that appears will give
you the download link. Just copy/paste
it into the message to your recipients
who can download and view the file on
their computer.

For even better results in the quality of
your finished movies...have a look at the
info about using Custom Profiles...

If you're saving the movie using WMM's "For Email" function, it's on your
end. WMM strips the movie down to bare-bones (sometimes even losing audio)
if you select that option for the "save" process. I believe it's in order
to make it 'fit' into what most email clients allow/accept regarding
attached file-size, which is generally around 10MB give or take.

For example, I just took an 8MB .wmv file I had handy knowing that I could
email it to myself "as is" and it would come through at the proper
resolution with audio. I took the same 8MB file, saved it in WMM using "For
Email" and sent it to myself.

The attached (originally 8MB) file that came through was only 951KB, so
something had to give. :-) What "gave" was the original (640x480)
resolution, which resulted in something like (128 x ?) so that's probably
what's happening. To confirm this, send one to yourself like I did
It has happened to everyone I send them to so I'm hoping it is an easy fix

The easiest "fix" is to keep your originals "as is" by saving them using
"For Playback on My Computer" and then either upload them to your personal
web space that EVERY ISP gives away these days, or upload them to YouTube or
some other large file-sharing network and simply send your recipients a
link.
