Emailing meeting notifications

Is there any way to use plan a meeting, and also email secretary's about the
meeting at the same time without it going into their diaries?

We are using Office 2003 with exchange server 5.5 (soon to be upgraded)
 
If you are planning a meeting it would need to go to their calendar to check
the free/busy information. Actually, are they attending the meeting or is
this someone's calendar they manage and just need to have the information
for reference. If this is the case then they should be able to see this
persons calendar and there may not be a need to send them a separate
notice/email.

Thanks for the reply, the secretaries don't manage the diaries but do have
access to them, so it would be beneficial for them to have an email
notification that an important meeting has been entered into the calendar.
