Emailing individuals from Group folder

I catergorized all my 'contacts' into 'group' folders and
deleted them as 'contacts'. Now I can't select
individuals from the 'group' folder to email them
individually. Any suggestions?
Is there any way to create a folder other than a group
folder? For instance "suppliers, customers, misc", etc.
to steamline the contact group?
 
Since Outlook doesn't have any concept of "group folders," I'm at a loss to
understand just what you've done.

Your Outlook version might be useful information, too.

I've found one method. Select name from the Group, Right
Click to expand...
click, Action, Send Mail. This is probably not the best
way but it works!!
